Currently, on high (spring) tides Gloucester lock can be overtopped, with the tide going to Upper* or Lower Lode*, or possibly even Diglis*. Most bores end at Gloucester, where the river meets either the Maisemore or Llanthony weirs. Very large bore waves get as far as the last tidal point on the Severn - Diglis weir (~1ft tide*) at Worcester*.
