(G)ocuran Gawr (probably Ogrfan*. Welsh can loose initial letters under a variety of circumstances, and here it is not clear whether there should be an initial "G" or not, but Bromwich sides with 'not'. The name might mean something like "keen-man"*; Gawr is "the Giant"*) The Bruts and two triads (see Other Works) have Gwenhwyfar as the daughter of (G)ogvran Gawr*. This person is only interesting here in as far as this name might be present in the name of the River Ogran in Monmouthshire* (though also in Caer Ogyrfan (now Hen Ddinas: Info), a fort near Oswestry*).
