There are around 20 rivers in the UK with bores*, as well as the Severn, which has the largest, these include*: The River Dee, Clwyd, Wales and The Mersey, Cheshire (info); The Great Ouse, King's Lynn, Norfolk; The Kent/Milnthorpe sands Bore and Lune River (Northern and Southern Morecambe Bay respectively), Cumbria; The River Parrett, Bridgewater, Somerset; The Solway Firth, Cumbria Northern Border; The River Trent, Lincolnshire (info; viewing info); and the River Wye at the Severn estuary, Gloucestershire.
